I am new to the life of Blogging.  Just like the name dillydally is for us procrastinators, I am the best.  Here at the ripe old age of 66, I am just now starting my Blog.  I gave the name of my Blog; dillydally because my mother was always hollering for me to come in for the night.  Quit dillydallying around and get in here.  I added the tx because being in Texas would give the other dillydally’s some protection.   We wouldn’t want them to get all the praise.

My ambitions are to learn this darn computer if it kills me or my wife does.  I spend a lot of time hunt and pecking.  I would like to make a few dollars if possible.  I signed up with a wizard, My-Affiliate-Store.com so I can have a few web sites and be productive. See my products list

My first site is in the construction and home improvement area.  I had 22 plus years doing home improvement projects in Iowa and Colorado.  I was considered a true craftsman with a few paint brushes and drywall tools.  I became a professional at wallpapering, plastering, drywall, painting and design decorator.  I was able to keep a small crew busy and comfortable.  I was blessed with other professional employees.  Then the good Lord thought it was time to slow me down and knocked my back out from under me, and ended my career.  So now being an old dobber I now will hunt and peck this keyboard.

I will continue to express my memoirs with utmost diligence.

The proper way to clean a paintbrush after painting with latex paint is to first to wipe any excess paint back in the container.  After you removed any loose paint, take a wire brush and with a bucket of water, push the build up of paint that gets hard and a heavy build up around the handle called the heel of the brush.  Push the paint from the heal toward the end of the bristles while using the edge of the bucket and by dipping the brush in the water to help remove the paint build up.  If you continue to push the wire brush through the bristles you can remove most of the paint that gets stuck and dried making the bristles stiff and bulky. Keep dipping in water and using the wire brush until you have removed all the paint build up.  Then with your hands and clean water using a faucet or water in the bucket clean the bristles. Check and make sure you have removed the paint that get inside the under the bristles at the heel.  Spread the bristles and check for any paint.  After you a convinced that all the paint is clean from the heel and all the bristles you can spin the brush with your hands with the handle in the palms and with a back and forth motion spin the water out of the brush.  For a few dollars a spinner can be bought and will spin the brush faster and cleaner.  Then you and smooth the bristles down and put the brush back in the card board sleeve that it came in or wrap in tin foil and place on a shelf flat so the bristles will not roll up and make the brush useless.  I would spend a few dollars more for a good brand of paint brush and made sure they were clean when the paint project was finished so they can be used again and again.  Your next project will thank you.  Check out http://www.handyman-home-improvement4u.com
