The Criminal Justice Club was started in 1989 by Tim Poston, head of the Criminal Justice Department. We currently have 25 members.
Some of the programs we are involved in are:
- Safe Halloween: a place where area children can come to play games, win candy and prizes, and have fun on Halloween. We are very proud of the success of this program and the participation we receive from the community. The smiles on the kids' faces make it all worthwhile!
- Adopt A Highway Trash Pick-up
- American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon: criminal justice conferences and competitions
In September, 1997, our club received its charter as a subordinate chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon. Our chapter, Nu Tau Epsilon Chi (NTEX), is hosting this year's Region II Conference, which will be held in October. We are very honored to be hosting this Conference and hope everyone in Region II is planning to attend.
